Dubai Mall Aquarium III by =largethomas
Isn’t this just a heartwarming photograph?! I just adore the pure joy and happiness the photographer captured here. The expression of wonderment and awe on that little boy’s face just makes you want to smile.
The colors, holy mackerel, the colors! That flame orange is so bold and beautiful and so visually arresting. This is how you do fan art. Katniss looks incredible and so gorgeous and fierce. Plus take a look at the faces in the flames, now that’s what I call attention to detail. And it says Hunger Games without you even having to read the title. I love, love, love, love, love, love this!
I never tire of posting well done fan art, do I? Lol. This is illustrating a famous scene from the book The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. For those of you who haven’t read the book, I won’t spoil it. But do not scroll down or you will be spoiled! Spoilers are in italics. And if you haven’t read this series, you must. I’m serious. Like right now. It’s one of the best book series ever written!
I really love Percy and Annabeth and this is such a sweet and fantastic illustration of their first kiss. The colors are so pretty and the artist really brings this scene to life. And I adore the attention to detail. With the canoes floating above them and all.
I agree! I too love all the notes this has! Cassandra’s books are so many different levels of good and awesome! If you haven’t read them you must. Like now. I’m serious.Aw, it’s awesome how many notes this has… book-lovers unite!

Just Dream by *AdoAnto
Surreal. Kooky. Cool. I love it! This so perfectly illustrates just how fantastical dreaming and dreams can be. Make sure to click through so you can read the artist’s description and view it full screen and you can even buy a print if you love it enough.
Fractal art today! It never fails to amaze me what people can create with fractal programs. And this is just one of many beautiful fractal pieces that can be found on deviantArt. This has an almost surreal air to it with the colors and the shapes of the flowers. It reminds me so much of the flora and fauna from Avatar. It definitely has that almost mystical quality. I can just picture finding a pond like this on Pandora. Filled with yellow and blue lily pads. I love this, just love this!
I doubt I’m the first person to share this on Tumblr, but whatever. This so perfectly encapsulates the true joy of books. There is truly nothing else like cracking open a book and getting lost in it and totally loving it. Plus it’s a just plain neat video. When the owners are away, the books shall play. And they shall come alive and dance in their own way. Plus, how awesome a name is Type for a bookstore?! If I lived in or near Canada, I’d totally visit it. This took 4 days with a team of 25 working from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day of those 4 days. And I love the song, it’s called “Awakenings” which is a perfect title and it was custom composed, and it is available for purchase on iTunes, the link is in the video description. I’m a hardcore and dedicated reader, so of course I love this more than I can articulate!
Come and tell me a story, Mommy by *LiiQa
A kitten and books! My two most favorite things in the world! How utterly and totally adorable is this? What a sweet and funny expression on the kitten’s little face! I’m a big cat lover and have two fur babies of my own, so of course I love this to pieces!
Mickey Mouse by ~Jerner
Fan art today! Even if you’re not a Disney fan you’ve got to love this. This is incredibly and I do mean incredibly, creative! The islands are his feet, the volcanic smoke coming out of them are his legs, the balloon is his body and tail and the hot air balloon is his nose and the clouds are his head, arms and one ear and the sun is his other ear. That is an incredibly unique way to do it! I am a Disney fan, so of course I love this. What a wonderful way to tribute Disney and Mickey Mouse. If Walt Disney was still alive, I’m sure he’d love it. I heartily encourage clicking through to the deviantart website so you can absorb all the details!
A beautiful city scene today. This is Venice, Italy. Oh my, oh my, oh my. This is so beautiful. Even though it was shot in 2012, it feels like a scene from a far older time. The use of sepia was such a great idea on the photographer’s part, it really helps to enhance the old world feel. I love this, just love this. I’m Italian by blood and I’m so proud of my beautiful country. There is truly no other place like it. Italy tops my bucket list of places to visit. I wish it was me in that gondola going down one of Venice’s many canals.
